David and Jen cordially invited us for dinner last week. We enjoyed some great food (homemade chicken pot pie, salad, and apple crisp), fellowship, and a movie(The Christmas Shoes). Thanks for having us over, David and Jen, it was a lot of fun!
Annick decorated the outside of the house and stable with lightas and greenery. Great job, Annick!
This year, we made a gingerbread pastry shop, at Grandpa and Grandma DeRoo's house. THere used to be a French pastry shop in Romeo MI, owned by Monsieur Jean Marc. He made such delicious, authentic, French pastries! Believe me, doughnuts are nothing compared to fresh, French pastries! Jean Marc had to sell out a year or so ago, and we do miss his delicacies! So, in his honor, we built a pastry shop, complete with baker, pastries, and discarded donuts. We enjoyed a day with Grandpa and Grandma D, made cookies, helped with a sewing project, played music, and had a yummy dinner that evening.
