It's been a wonderful year....

...without braces!!
Yes, it has been a whole year since my mouth
was 'freed' from the metal bars :) I am so grateful
to have my teeth where they should be, but it
was a long process!

"O happy day!"

Lessons learned from the dentist chair:
  • Keep your ears open to pick up the names of the dental implements
  • When the dental worker says you shouldn't chew gum, hard candy, nuts, or pencils, they mean it.
  • Try not to scream if it hurts, it will be over soon!
  • Crying will make them sorry for you, but it won't end the treatment
  • Pamper your mouth when it's all over :o)
  • Chew gum as soon as you leave the dentist office once your braces are off. It actually relives the after-effect pain!
  • Thank the person who paid for the dental work, and send/give them an 'after' picture!

Palm trees are a welcome site to us 'Michiganders'!

Lookee here all ya baseball fans...

"Ye'll tak the high road, and I'll tak the low road...

"...and I'll be in Scotland before ye..."

(Believe it or not, but in this picture they are walking backwards!)

Young Rabbit Eats Orange with Zest...

This cute little bunny entertained us today
by eating the rind off of an orange! Must be
an acquired taste...for rabbits...

Stranger things have happened!

Our new Baby Boy Cousin!

Benjamin James Schultz
arrived on the 14th!
He weighed 7 lbs, 12 oz, and was 21 inches long!

Julia is a proud big sister!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day :)

“St. Patrick suffered mightily
at the hands of the Irish,
but rather than seek revenge,
he came back to share his faith.”

then Cardinal-designate Sean Patrick O'Malley, O.F.M.Cap.

Although we hail not from Ireland, we Scottish lassies donned green in honor of our Irish kinsmen across the sea :)

Here's a neat video of "Danny Boy" sung a cappella, by three men in... their livingroom!
