Martyr Party 2006: Remembering the Huguenots from the 16 Century

Our annual Martyr Party took place at the DeL family barn, and we enjoyed authentic French cuisine (Mousse au Chocolat, Tarte a la Pomme, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Cassulet, and French Apple Pie, to name a few), as well as some history about the Huguenots, and several interesting facts about the time period. Did you ever wonder where the terms "saved by the bell", "thresh hold", "don't throw the baby out with the bath water", came from? Click here to read all about it :)
Mr. DeL (as Pastor Augustin Marlorat) carves the roast with the encouragement of Jake Hyslop (as Pierre Dorteat)

Hey you Huguenots of 'Mount Marshall' (just say that with a French accent and it makes it so much more 'Frenchier':)! Sure was a fun but chilly evening! Sorry that I didn't get your martyr list in time for the game! You made a great set of martyrs anyway! I had a lot of fun helping Phillip! He actually was really good at figuring things out!

The Chocolate Mousse was simply delectable! Ah!...I think I know what I am going to request for my b-day!

So what shall the Martyr Party be next year? China? Or the Spanish Inquisition?
