Hannah, Frango Mints are a specialty of Marshall Fields Dept. Store (now known as Macy's). One of my mother's childhood friends, who still lives in the Chicago area, loves Frango Mints, so she developed this pie. It is simply a chocolate mousse-type pie flavored with peppermint. The Frango Mints are pieces of chocolate (dark or milk) with tiny layers of green which carry the peppermint flavor. I sure did receive a lot of wonderful, special gifts!
