The Marshall cats have very distinct personalities.
Juliet is a princess in her own mind, and deigns to acknowledge the rest of the household. Her princess attitude is kept in pristine order, until she is coaxed to race up and down the stairs after a pom-pom. She can be very affectionate when she chooses, and loves to nap on any Marshall lap she can find available, or not available.
Sooty, on the other hand, is very laid back and nonplussed. Any lap is available to jump onto, or project off of. He seems to revel in the fact that he has trained us to let him in at any time of the day or evening regardless of weather or temperature. He is also always on the lookout for a food refill.
Juliet will walk up to Sooty and give him a sniff to see if he is in the mood to sniff back. If he is, she will hiss and run away. Other times he will run after her as she tries to get away hissing and yeowling the whole time!
Once in a while they will condesend to sleep near each other, but I wonder if it is only a temporary truce until one of them crosses the feline border of tolerance...

Neat story! I always like hearing of the animal adventures in the Marshall household. Especially when it's about cats. :)
Love ya! Theresa <><
